Lighting Toys

Thanks google! finally my baby blog is live again! Last week was horrible for me (OA lang) hehehe..losing my access to my blog was something I don't expect-just imagine all of a sudden your 3blogs was being remove/deleted without any notice. Heeelleerrr di ba?..

Anyway, during that period of time (around 10days of not blogging) my college friend arrive from Manila and we had sort of reunion not just the two of us but also with some close friends from college. It was fun to be with people you've never seen for a long time plus our kids especially my baby Iris is having so much fun seeing colorful lights at gov center. Anyway, I'll just make a post about our reunion in my main blog when I finally migrated it to WP.

I would just like to share some of Iris photo during our night picnik get together. While most of us is busy eating ang chatting Iris is also busy following the vendor of this toys. I think she's very curious of that stuff that keeps on lighting. Nope, there's no indication that she want me to buy it maybe because she had no idea yet of "I want it buy me that". She is silent looking at those dispaly toys I think she's just wondering and mesmerize? with different colors of that stuff. To fill her curiousity I bought her one.

V-Day Photo

Hello! another Thursday once again..meaning time to be nostalgic. Hehehe. Time for me to show off the cuteness of my baby Iris. This photo was actually taken February 14, 2011. First Vday of Iris. What we do last Feb.14?..hmmm..I think we just stay in the house. Iris was almost 5months in this photo. She just wake up in this photo actually, isn't it obvious?

Benefit from Tomato

Thanks GOD it's Friday! Come weekend- more bonding with my baby Iris. When I am not busy at work (Saturday) I tag her with me so that she'll see other people than us (my sister and mother) in the house.

My daughter Iris is not picky when it comes to food. She ate anything you give her. Fruits, vegetables, fish and she is a sweet tooth person. Well, most of our kids are sweet tooth, right?. even me is a sweet tooth person. She actually love nips.. When you are going to give her biscuit and nips she'll surely choose nips! and she also love dutchmill drink. Good thing during meal time she ate rice and any viand you give her.

I have mention in my main blog that we already had Sari-sari Store and we also sell tomato, onions and garlic...and look what happen when no one is paying attention to her. She mess up with tomato display and bite/eat them! Buti na lang nakita ko..and find her cute seeing her bite those tomato! so grab my cam and click! click! LOL. When I try to take away all the tomatoes she'd cry! so there I give her one.

What's the Meaning of Iris Joehanna?

Few of my blogger friends whose always in my main blog Shengkay's Journal for sure you already saw this collage and also what I am gonna write here about what's the meaning of my baby's name you knew already. Actually, I am writing again it here because of Iris. This blog is all about my baby and I want to put on record every details of her here so that when she grows up and I am not around anymore (who know's bida?) may sasagot sa tanong nya.

What's the meaning of Iris Joehanna? Why I name her that?

When Iris happened to be a boy I'll name her Iris Joehann. Why so addicted to Iris and Joehann/Joehanna? Simple. It has a beautiful meaning. It reminds and connect her to his father.

According to baby's name online...

       Iris means Rainbow

      Johann/Johanna means GOD is gracious

I think that alone is reason enough why I have chosen that. Indeed Iris is always my rainbow-she colors my world and that GOD is gracious for giving me my rainbow, right? I maybe a single mom and Iris was abandon and not recognize by his father that doesn't make us less as a person.

Wondering why Iris JOEhanna? which suppose to be only Iris JOhanna?

I have mention above that it reminds and connect her to his father. Yup! Actually Iris name just so happen that it has a meaning of rainbow but aside from that I choose that name because when his father and I was together (I mean GF-BF) and in love (at least yun ang gusto kong paniwalaan no) he mention he wanted IRIS name because her mother's name is Irene and that's his tribute to her. Yeah, he love's her mother that much and I adore him more because of that...and why JOE not JO? simply because..his name is JOEner.

Thus, my baby girl's name is IRIS JOEHANNA..and in fairness ha..mas kamukha nya tatay nya. Of course I wish not! I mean sana hindi na lang..hahaha..mapagbiro talaga ang tadhana.

..oh well, as I always pray- I hope nak you grow up as a loving, respectful and forgiving person. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive your father same as I forgive him din.

16days Old Baby Iris

Another photos of Iris. She was only 16days old in this photo. This picture if I am not mistaken is taken after we arrive from her immunization.

I just love taking Iris a photo. I want her to see how beautiful she is when she was this very young. Time flies really fast no?..seems only yesterday when she's this young. Love you Baby Aying!

Bath Time, Crying Time

Iris is almost 3 months in this photo. I remember every bath time-even in the hospital every morning when nurses bath them she really cry to death! as in! as if someone is butchering her LOL. Photo below is a usual bath time for us. Bath time is crying time. She will just stop crying after bath.

I have to blame myself why also :P I bath her with water directly from faucet. I mean, without hot water on it. Actually I do it so that masanay sya. Nurses in the hospital bath the babies directly from the faucet. I believe its refreshing to shower with cold water hehehe. 

When Iris stop crying every shower? January 2011, She's 3months at that time. I remember it so well! I think its her new years resolution not to cry every shower time LOL or maybe she's tired of crying every bath time, la rin naman syang magaga eh! Hahaha. Now, she loves water! I think, in general kids loves water. Sometimes she'll go wild if  patapos na ang ligo. Waaahh! ayaw umalis ng tubig.

Fun Land is Under Renovation + Koala Bear

Last September 17, Me and Iris visit Lopue's East Center to play at Fun Land. That will be her first time to play at kiddie fun land. You know- play house, colorful balls, slides and all. Unfortunately, fun land was under renovation. Yay! wrong timing. What we do is watch other kids play at kiddie motorbike. Iris is not yet allowed to ride on that bike since she is less than a year old.  I just bought Iris hotdog and some drink while watching other kids play.

After eating, we do window shoppe at kids/children department. While I was busy looking for kids dresses Iris is also busy (see photo below). I think she was curious of that walker accessories, the musical stuff, the the animals that is tag on that walker- oh by the way, Iris haven't experience walker! yup! It was expensive for me and I don't have budget to buy her one :( ..so seeing one for the first time made her so curious about it.

Aside from walker what catches her attention is this..hmmm..what do you call that? sort of sobrero? when use it will cover the entire head down to neck leaving kids face expose..Hindi ko alam ang tamang term  with that hat. Basta ganun! hehehe. We also shoppe at Toys Dept. I let her roam around the area while I was busy looking for some toys. I plan to buy her a bigger shape sorter toy. I was fond looking at angry bird flush toys when Iris join me. She first grab the spongebob stuff when Koala bear catch her attention. After seeing Koala bear she won't let go of it. I was trying to convince her that instead of Koala we will just bought the Teddy Bear (I have sort of bear stuff collection) but she insist of Koala. Siempre si Iris nasunod kasi iiyakan ka! :P At hindi nya na ito binitawan. See her below with Koala bear. Till we go home bitbit nya lang ito.

Flower Book

Hello! It's Saturday again!..another fun time for kids since there is no classes. So, whats your plan this weekend? Me?..honestly I don't know. For sure will just stay in the house. Hmm..I'm actually planning of going to Fun Land at Lopue's East, of course with Iris and my Sister Kiana. Lets see if this plan will realize tomorrow.

Anyway, I am sharing today Iris photo taken May 18 just this year, one of her "alone time" in her bamboo crib. We just give her her toys and books so that while she is busy playing and browsing her flower book we can do our household chores. Iris is is almost 8months in this photo.

..of course before I do my work I took some photos of what she is doing. (click image for a larger view). I don't remember when I bought this flower book. I just thought this will entertain Iris and at the same time she'll be familiar with the flowers so I decided to buy this.

Auntie Kiana and Me

Today is Nov.2..hmmm..I was thinking who among my friends celebrating thier birthday but I can't think of any. Anyway, Nov.2 is Wdenesday which means time for Mommy Raya's Wednesday White meme and I am joining again! I know I owe a lot of participant from last 2weeks, I'll make it up! Am just busy offline.

My share for this week whites is my rainbow Iris wearing white tee. This was taken as stated in my photo Dec. 21 of last year. Iris was almost 3months and my sister Kiana loves smooching Iris. They look like sister than mag-tita, sa tingin nyo? :P Kiana is 9 years old while Iris now is a year old.

Wine Please!

Hello! hope everyone's halloween is a party! party!..me and my lovelies just stay at home because Iris is not feeling well maybe the three of us will experience halloween party next year :P

Okay. Photo above was taken last year when Iris was just 2months and a half, my sister Kiana is very fond of Iris and she always play with her and make fun of the little one. Iris is so small pa this time that she has no control of whatever her Aunt wants to do with her just like photo above. Now Iris is a year old and has more control of herself, sometimes she would fight and shout with Kiana if she doesn't like what Kiana is doing to her..siempre naglalambing lang naman si Kiana but Iris find it irritating especially if Kiana keep on smooching her. ..and me?..of course I find them cute when they get along well..and irritates me sometimes when they fight..mga bata talaga.

Anyway, that empty wine bottle (Arbor Mist I think) was a gift from our customer. I never tasted it actually becuase the time that this was given to me I was pregnant with Iris.

Halloween Party No More

Last month I plan Iris to join trick or treat fun with my little sister Kiana not only that I wanted her to experience the fun but also me to experience it. Believe me! I'm already 30years old but I never had a chance to attend such event. Poor me! LOL. We already had a custome for her(see her header photo in brown fairy?) That's what I want her to wear during the party. That fairy custome was given by her godmother to her last August when they visit Bacolod.

..but later this month I decided not to attend halloween party anymore. Aside from I don't have budget to buy Kiana's custome, Iris is not feeling well for almost 3days already. Also, I thought that Iris could not enjoy it much because she's only a year and a month old. I want her to experience it when she knows how to really interact with other kids, I was also thinking that she might get scared of other kids in horror custome. Maybe next year when Iris is 2years old we'll join this fun.

Pink Bear and Orange Crabby

Hello welcome to another Toy Stories story. This week me and my rainbow's share is Pink Bear stuff and Orange Crabby the crab. I actually had plenty of pillows like crabby before I give birth to Iris. It is sort of my collection. I also have collection of bears in different colors and size. I bought pink bear intented for Iris. If i remember it right I bought this one Dec. 2010.

I think I already feature some of the photo above in my other blog. I love this photos of Iris. I really find her cute in here, isn't it? :P and of course I super love the hot pink bear and colorful orange crabby.

My Joy and Happiness

Today is Iris 13th month in this crazy yet beautiful world. More than that, it is an amazing journey of motherhood for me. Ups and downs and all..thank GOD because I was able to survive it all! Looking back, worse that I experience as a mom was when Iris has this kind of skin desease/allergy of sort. It was really heart breaking to see her in that situation. Aside from that also financially draining becuase her medicine is very expensive. I remember I tried to ask help from his father but as expected to no avail. Anyway, those we're just water under the bridge. Me and my baby is now fine.

Oct. 2010-Preparing Iris to sleep. Nov.2010-One boring afternoon and mama has nothing to do :P. Dec.2010-First Christmas day photo. Photo opp before we visit my step dad. Jan.2011-I put her bib because she drools a lot during that time.

Feb.2011-One fine day (12noon) photo opps before I go to work. March 2011- after Ash Wednesday mass. April 2011-First beach escapade of Iris (Black Saturday_ It was Iris first long trip also at age 7months. May 2011-Mothers day date, it was that time also that I hear Iris say Mama. What a gift on mothers day!

June, July, and August 2011- Bonding moments at home!

Sept. 24-Iris big day! her First birthday! Thanks to all my friends and Iris godparents who help me in celebrating Iris bday! as in thank you!

Working Baby

Last night after an hour that Iris slept she wakes up and cry. I thought she was crying because my little sister Kiana was beside her. So I wake up Kiana so that she'll transfer to her bed. Still Iris was crying. Maybe she want me to sleep with her so I sleep with her. Still Iris was crying. I ask her if she want to yum yum (meaning she'll drink her milk) her action tells me that no mama I wont drink milk and keep on crying. So I thought she want me to carry her..but still to no avail..she still cry...okay..I keep on thinking what she want so she'll stop crying..ohh..maybe she want her hotdog pillow. nah! she won't accept it! she throw it. okay, so now I understand what she want. As I look in our bed I observe that her fave stuff is not around. I remember Henny. I put Iris on bed even she is crying and get henny her fave stuff in our living room and give it to her. Gotcha! she stop crying after I hand her her Henny. tsk! tsk! tsk! she want Henny beside her. hahaha.

Anyway, this photo is not related to any of the story I have mention above. I just love this photo when I bring Iris in my workplace. When I am not so busy in my work I tag her with me. She would just sit there (jny my co-worker's chair )and keep on doodling in keyboard. When she's done with it she'll get the ballpen and doodle with it.

My Rainbow

Thanks God! after two days of fever my rainbow Iris is now fine and fun to play with. She's back to her normal babbler, funny and "likot" mode. That would mean also that Mama Shengkay can sleep well at night as my baby sleep well too.

Anyway, I feel nostalgic of the photo below, Iris was only 3months almost 4months. I always say this everytime I saw my baby "I can't believe am now a mother to this cutie pie baby!" yeah, I still can't believe! Now, I understand those mother who says the joy of being a mom is immeasurable! Indeed! More than anythings else it's my baby who brigthen up my day. She made me smile, inspires me, makes me feel beautiful, strong and forgiving..but sometimes she irritates me too in her kulit and likot mode. Hehehe.but...

..when she made all this funny faces...hmmmm...my heart melts! hahaha. I love you baby talaga!

Shape Sorter Toy

Hello everyone! welcome to another edition of Toy Stories hosted by Mommy Jes. Today my share for toy stories is a shape sorter toy. I actually bought this when I was still pregnant with Iris (hindi excited eh no?) hahaha. I think one of the reason is because when I was a baby I never experience this kind of toy that is why I am excited to have this for my baby.

Stripey Orange-y Get Up

Last night Iris has fever and of course the Mama Shengkay is worried and all. I was thinking of briging her to the hospital because she's so hot (body temp. 39). Good thing she keep on asking for water and her milk sad part is after I fed her with her milk she'll vomit.. huhuhu.. 12midnight till 7am I haven't give her milk..only water. I give her paracetamol every 4hours and put cold bimpo in her armpit and forehead so that she'll cool down her body temp. I think she fevered becuase of teething virus. Anyway, she feels better now. Thanks God!

..and of course I was not able to sleep well for the rest of the night and I am so sleepy right now.

Anyway, I'm posting Iris photo which was taken when she was 9months and as always I love my baby's eyes..I remember she was not also feeling well in this photo. She actually had runny nose here but still look lovely (wink!).

Doodling with Colorful Ball

Good morning!..it's very early in the morning! I recall that I promise Mommy Jes to join Toy Stories and I am here! Kids in Doodle is also coming same with green Monday. Yay! hitting 3birds in one stone..Tama ba?..hahaha..

Anyway, My share is Iris 2 ball, I can't recall when was I bought this. Iris was only 5months and 4days old as indicated in this photo. Now Iris is 1year old and the ball is still alive! now that she has more control of her action she played a lot with it now. In fact when she is bathing she bring this ball with her. Oh I remember the color green ball is still in the bathroom.

Sporty Baby

One of the things I miss when I was schooling was joining extracurricular activities especially sports. I was once a shy and no confident student. Well, I'm still a bit shy now but once in a while I take bolder risk especially when my being a mother is at stake. I'll do anything I could for the best interest of my daughter Iris- after all she only had me in her life.

I believe encouraging our kids to be active in sports is one way of helping them boost thier confident and be friendly. Aside from that we also help them to be healthy. That is why at early age I am exposing Iris on different games that is related to sports like ball games. I bought her ball and my sister Kiana a badminton set for them to play on. Hopefully my sister Kiana will be chosen to play for Badminton in there school but Kiana's first choice of game was football but thier school is only accepting boys. For now, i'll try to search for a promotional coupons and discount vouchers for my sister for her needed sports stuff if she is choosen. As for my baby Iris will just play throw and catch a ball for now.

Iris Fave Stuff Toy

Hello everyone! happy weekend! me and my lovelies are going to met some of my college friends with thier kids after this post. We're celebrating Masskara here in Bacolod that is why were having some fun and bonding with friends.

Anyway, I am joining 3 memes today and my entry is of course Iris and her favorate stuff toy. We name this stuff Henny obviuosly because it is a hen :P. I think I already feature henny here, I am just lazy to look for that post :P . I bought this last January 23, 2011 and the two instantly fell in love. They are inseparable during nap and sleeping time. She would always hug Henny during bed time. Iris love biting Henny's beak (seems nanggigil sya dito).My cute little angel is only 3months and 30days in this photo and now Iris is 1year old. Henny kinda old already but still my baby love's her.

My Rainbow's Christening

I feel nostalgic everytime I saw Iris growing up photos..her milestones and all. Sometimes when she's sleeping (I think everytime she's sleeping..heheh)  I look at her, I still can't beleive that I am a mother to this cute little angel. I always found my tranquility in her no matter how upset I am with other stuff and life challenges Its always my baby who give sunshine and rainbow to my gloomy world. I loveyou for that baby Iris!

Hello, Remote Control?

Isn't she cute? my baby is cute! oh please don't disagree..or else..hehehe..

This photo as stated on the picture was April 18 just this year 2011 Iris is almost 7months here. She just woke up when I took this photo. We had television before in my room that is why she has the remote control. During that time anything she hold she put it in her mouth, out of curiosity of course, which of course normal to any baby at this age. She also imagine that it is a cellphone and that we're calling her grandma (my mother) :P. Now that she's a year old she don't eat it she just throw it. (LOL)

Iris in Red

Hello! Hello! Hello! It's a very good Monday in my end of the world. I want to start it off with smile and a bang with my baby Iris in her red Sando. Iris look like a boy here :) This was taken last march 11, 2011 she was 5months and 15days old. I took this photo when I arrive from work (lunch time) it's my routine to take her photo with me or without me. I just love taking her a photo.

Anyway, since I neglected this blog for almost 2months expect old photos from Iris. After all this blog is all about her.

For Iris milestones, 2days after she turn 1year old last Sept. 24 (2011) she was able to walk alone without our assistance. She also has 6teeth now and another 2 is visibly coming out. I am thankful because she has no fever or cough while teething though she has sipon. Oh, I love her appetite! she's not choosy when it comes to food, anything you gave to her she ate it! Very good Anak!..She's a babbler now I must say though we don't understand what she's saying but with her matching action we can relate to her. She has this routine that everytime we change her diaper she want herself to throw her use diaper to trash can, she would cry if we are the one to dispose her diaper. That's good baby! keep it up!

My Little Kikay

Hello fellow mommies and friends! for the longest time my baby blog is joining Mommy Raya WW once again.

My share for this week a photo of my baby taken last August 25, 2011. I was actually organizing my bags when this little one mingle with us and choose this light brown bag and take it outside my room. Of all the bags this cute fancy her attention. Iris First Bday

Welcome back to my Baby's blog! It's been 2months since the last time I updated this blog. Shame on me! Anyway, I don't promise to really update this everyday but at least twice or thrice a week I will post something about my Iris. Especially that she's now 1 year old. I will update this blog of her milestone. I had plenty of photo to share here for the past two months. I owe my baby big time for neglecting her online journal.
